What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a branch of health care that blends safe and effective traditional therapies with modern medical science. It is design to treat and address the underlying cause of a condition rather than treating symptoms. In the state of Oregon, a Naturopath is a primary care physician who specializes in natural medicine and employs physical exams, lab work, x-rays and other diagnostic tests to evaluate and disease.

Principles
Naturopathic Medicine involves seven principles:

• First, do no harm

• The healing power of nature
• Physician as teacher
• Identify and treat the root cause
• Treat the whole person
• Support the healing power of nature
• Prevention is the best cure
